Troubleshooting - Multi-Factor Authentication
How to fix common issues using Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA).

Check MFA Settings:If you are not receiving MFA codes as expected, you can check your settings by going to https://aka.ms/mfasetup. There, you can see the preferred option and any other options you set up. You can change your authentication methods there.

ITS advises that you do not use the office phone method, since you will rarely be near your office phone when connecting with MFA.

Note that when connecting to VPN, only the preferred option will be used.

Email Accounts:
On some mobile devices and Macs, the native mail app will not automatically connect with MFA. To fix this, remove and re-add your E-town email account using the instructions for mobile devices or Mac.
