Using the Keyboard

Contiguous or adjacent range:Use the arrow keys to navigate to the cell at the beginning of the range. Hold down the [Shift] key while using the arrow keys to navigate to the last cell of the range. Release the [Shift] key to stop dragging.

Entire column:Use the arrow keys to navigate to a cell in the column you wish to select. Press the [Control] key and the [Space] bar at the same time. The entire column will be selected.

Entire row:Use the arrow keys to navigate to a cell in the row you wish to select. Press the [Shift] key and the [Space] bar at the same time. The entire row will be selected.

Move the Active Cell:[Enter] key will move the active cell down through the rows and left to right through the columns.

[Shift] + [Enter] will move the active cell up through the rows and right to left through the columns.

[Tab] key will move left to right through the columns within the same row.

[Shift] + [Tab] will move right to left through the columns within the same row.

[Control] + [.] will move the active cell from corner to corner of the selected range.

In non-contiguous ranges, move to each separate range by holding [Control] + [Alt] + right/left arrow key.

In a large selection of cells, do not use the arrow keys to navigate. Tapping an arrow key will deselect the group of cells. Instead, use the vertical and horizontal scroll bars on screen.
