Safe Mode - Outlook
If something is not working right in Outlook, starting it in Safe mode loads the application without many of the customizations and add-ins loaded. If Outlook works correctly in Safe mode, the problem is with one of the add-ins or customization files.
Several methods to start Outlook with a command line switch:

Method 1:Hold down the [Control] key as you open Outlook.

Method 2:If Run… is shown on your start menu (any version of Windows) click it and type "outlook.exe /safe" in the Open field and click OK.
You may need to look in Start, All Programs, Accessories.

Method 3:
Hold the [Windows] key and press [R], then type "outlook.exe /safe" in the Open field and click OK.
