Ribbon Missing - Office Applications
If you are missing the ribbon in any Office program, it may be because you accidentally double clicked a ribbon tab. You can click once on a tab to bring the ribbon back, however it will disappear again after you use a tool from the ribbon. Here's how to bring the ribbon back and make it stay. This article shows Office 2016, but this process also works in Office 2013.
Step 1:
With the ribbon missing, double click on any ribbon tab to bring it back.If you only click a ribbon tab once when the ribbons are hidden, the ribbon will go away as soon as you click any tool.Step 2: Alternatively to show/hide the ribbon again, you can click the small down or up caret in the upper right corner.
