Password Protection - OneNote
You can put a password on a section of your notebook to protect the information when sharing the notebook with other people. This article shows OneNote 2016, but the process works the same in OneNote 2013.
Step 1:Open your notebook in OneNote. Step 2:
Right click on the name of the section on which you wish to put a password. Select Password Protect This Section.
Step 3:
Click Set Password... on the pane to the right.
Step 4:
Enter a password and re-enter it to confirm. Click OK.
Step 5:
Click Lock All on the pane to the right under the All Protected Sections heading.
Step 6:
The section will become locked.
Step 7:
To open the section, click where it says here or press the [Enter] key. Step 8:Enter your password and click OK. The section will be unlocked.
Step 9:
Click Lock All on the right pane to lock the section again.

To change or remove the password, see the pane on the right.
