Open a Copy - Office Applications
Remembering to Save As is always a hassle. There is an easy way to make sure you don't save over the document and that is to open a copy of the file.
This article shows Office 2016, but the process also works in Office 2013.
Step 1:Open up an Office program. These instructions use Word.Step 2:On the right toolbar, right-click on the file that you want to open a copy of.
Step 3:Select Open a copy.
Step 4:A new window should appear titled Document2. This is a copy of the file you opened. When you are done making changes save [CTRL] + [S] the file with the desired new title.
