MAC Address - How to Determine

Instructions for finding find the MAC address of a wireless device, including gaming devices.
MAC address stands for Media Access Control address and is not specific to an Apple device.

Wii

Google Android
To find the MAC Address of your Android:

Click on the Home button at the bottom of the phone to go to the Home screen.
Click Menu.
Click Settings.
Click About Phone.
Click Status.
Scroll down to see your "Wi-Fi MAC address".

iPhone
To find the MAC address of your iPhone:

Go to the Settings app.
Press the General option.
Press the About option.
Scroll down until you see Wi-Fi Address. This is your MAC address.

RIM Blackberry
To find the MAC Address of your Blackberry:

From the home screen, press the menu option.
Select the options button.
Select the status option.
The MAC address will be listed under "WLAN MAC address".

Microsoft Android
To find the MAC Address of your Windows phone:

Open the Menu.
Select Settings.
Select Connections.
Select Wireless LAN.
Select Advanced.
You should see the address listed next to "MAC:".

Windows 7
To find the MAC Address of your Windows 7 PC laptop or computer:

Click the Wireless icon in the ribbon at the bottom of the screen (next to the clock).
In the Currently connected to: box, click Open Network and Sharing Center
Under View your active networks, Connections: Click Wireless Network Connection (EC_Jaynet_Login)
In the Wireless Network Connection Status, click Details...
You should see the MAC address listed next to Physical Address.

Windows 8

To find the MAC Address of your Windows 8 PC laptop or computer: Sideswipe ---> Settings.

Select Control Panel.
Select Network and Sharing Center.
Select Connections.
Select Details.
You should see the MAC address listed next to Physical Address.


Windows 10
To find the MAC address of your Windows 10 PC laptop or computer:

Open Control Panel.
Click Network and Internet.
Click Network Connections.
Right-click on your network connection and select Status.
Click Details.
Locate the Physical Address. This is your MAC address.

MacOS

To find the MAC Address of your Apple OS laptop or computer:

From the Apple menu, select System Preferences.
Select Network.
Select Ethernet (if your computer is connected via an Ethernet cable) or Wifi (if your computer is connected via wireless)
Select Advanced.
Select Hardware.
The MAC Address will display

PlayStation 3

In the Home menu, go to Settings.
Select System Settings.
Scroll until you see System Information.
You will see your MAC Address listed.

PlayStation 4

Navigate to the Settings icon (located on the far left).
Select the System icon.
Select System Information.
You will see your MAC address listed on this screen.

Xbox 360
Go to My Xbox in the Xbox Dashboard.
Select System Settings.
Click Network Settings and scroll to Configure Network.
Select Advanced Settings from the Additional Settings tab, then select Alternate Mac Address.
Your MAC address will display at the bottom of the screen.

Xbox One

Press the Menu button on your controller.
Navigate to the Settings page.
Select Network.
Select Advanced Settings.
The MAC address will be listed next to Wired MAC on the right hand side of the screen

Wii

From the Wii Channel menu, select Wii Settings.
Select Internet.
Select Console Settings.
The MAC address will be displayed on the first line.

iPad/iPod
To find the MAC address of your iPad or iPod Touch:

From the home screen, open the Settings app.
Press the General option.
Press the About option.
Scroll down until you see Wi-Fi Address.
This is your MAC address.


TiVo
To find the MAC address of your TiVo:

Open the Tivo menu by pressing the TiVo button.
Select Messages & Settings.
Select Phone & Network.
The MAC address should be on the right-hand side of the screen near the top.

Kindle
To find the MAC address of your Kindle:

Open the Menu button from the home screen.
Select Settings.
Open Menu.
Tap on Device Info.
Scroll down until you see the Wi-Fi Address. This is your MAC Address.
