How to find Word template files in Windows 10. Once you find them, you can open and edit them.

Show Hidden Folders/Files
First you will need to show the hidden folders and files on your computer.
Step 1:Click the Windows icon in the bottom toolbar and select Settings.

Step 2:Type "folder" into the search bar and click Show hidden files and folders.

Step 3:Select the View tab. Under Hidden files and folders, select Show hidden files, folders, and drives. Click Apply then OK.

Step 4:You may close Settings.
Locate Template Files
Step 1:Open your This PC menu.

Step 2:Double click Local Disk (C:).

Step 3:Double click the Users folder.

Step 4:Double click your username folder.

Step 5:Double click the AppData folder.

Step 6:Double click the Roaming folder.

Step 7:Double click the Microsoft folder.

Step 8:Scroll down and double click the Templates folder.

Step 9:Your list of templates will be shown. Normal.dotm is the default template for when you open Word.
