KnowBe4 Phish Alert Button
Click the Phish Alert Button (PAB) from KnowBe4 anytime you believe you have received a phishing email or any potentially dangerous email. Any emails you report using the PAB will be automatically deleted from your inbox. The emails you report will also be forwarded to mailcop@etown.edu for analysis.

Outlook for Windows PAB

When using Outlook for Windows, only the toolbar icon described below allows submission of emails. KnowBe4 reports that the contextual version of the PAB (displayed as "Phish Alert V2" between the email header and body) is non-functional. They will notify us when it is operational.

The PAB icon appears in the top-right corner of your Outlook toolbar. You can report the message with or without opening it:
1. Select the message from your mailbox and click the Phish Alert (KnowBe4) icon. Or If the message is open, click the Phish Alert (KnowBe4) icon. 
2. A prompt will ask if you are sure you want to report the email as a phishing message. 
3. If you choose to submit the message, it will be moved to your Deleted Items folder, and you'll receive confirmation that the message has been submitted for review. 

Outlook for Mac PAB

The PAB only works in Office 2016.

The PAB icon appears in the top-right corner of your Outlook toolbar. You can report the message with or without opening it:
1. Select the message from your mailbox and click the Phish Alert icon. Or If the message is open, click the Phish Alert icon. 
2. A prompt will ask if you are sure you want to report the email as a phishing message. 
3. If you choose to submit the message, it will be moved to your Deleted Items folder, and you'll receive confirmation that the message has been submitted for review. 
 
Webmail PAB

The PAB icon appears in the top-right corner of any opened email.

1. With the email open, click the PAB icon.
2. A sidebar prompt will ask if you are sure you want to report the email as a phishing message. Click the Phish Alert button to report the email. 
3. If you choose to submit the message, it will be moved to your Deleted Items folder, and you'll receive confirmation that the message has been submitted for review. 

Outlook App for Android - PAB

The Phish Alert Button is only enabled in the Outlook App, not the native Mail App on the Android device.

To report an email as a phishing message:


1. On any open email, tap the three dots at the top-right of the screen.
2. The Phish Alert add-in will appear, tap it. 
3. A prompt will ask you if you are sure you want to report the email as a phishing message, Tap the Mobile Phish Alert button to report the email. 


Outlook App for iOS - PAB

The Phish Alert Button is only enabled in the Outlook App, not the native Mail App on the iOS device.

To report an email as a phishing message:


1. On any open email, tap the three dots at the top-right of the screen.
2. The Phish Alert add-in will appear, tap it. 
3. A prompt will ask you if you are sure you want to report the email as a phishing message, Tap the Phish Alert button to report the email.
