Install Jabber - iPhone
This document explains the process of installing Cisco Jabber on a cell phone for integration with the college's VOIP phone system.

Install Jabber
Your phone must be registered on E-town's network to connect to Jabber.
Step 1
Download Cisco Jabber from the Apple App Store.Step 2Launch Cisco Jabber and tap on Enter Account Settings.

Step 3Tap Begin.

Step 4Tap Continue.
Continue
Step 5Enter the following information:
Device ID: "TCTUSERNAME" (enter TCT followed by your username)
TFTP Server: "eccmpub.etown.edu"
Use Authentication: Off
Tap Save.
Enter Credentials
Step 6Tap Continue.
Continue
Step 7Make sure Use Integration is On.
Enter your Jaynet username and password at the prompts.
Tap Save.
Enter Credentials
Step 8Tap Yes.
Yes
Step 9Enter your username and password at the prompts.
Enter the following information:
Server: "ecunitypub.etown.edu"
Port: (leave blank)
Tap Save.
Enter Account Info
Step 10Tap No.
No
Step 11Jabber is now ready.
Tap Continue.
Step 12When launching Jabber for the first time, you'll be prompted if you wish to allow Jabber to access your local contacts on your phone.  In most situations this is ok, but it is up to you.
Click OK to Access Contacts



Install Jabber IM

Step 1
Download Cisco Jabber IM from the Apple App Store.Step 2Launch Cisco Jabber IM and tap on Cisco Unified Presence.

Step 3Enter the following information:
  1. Your Jaynet username
  2. Your Jaynet password
  3. "ecprespub.etown.edu"
Tap Sign In.
Sign In

Cisco Jabber IM is now configured on your iPhone.
