Guest Wi-Fi: Mobile Devices
EC_GUEST_WIFI is a wireless connection that may be used with student and guest mobile devices such as phones and tablets. You will register your device the first time you connect to the wireless on campus. Here's how to connect to EC_GUEST_WIFI on iOS and Android devices.
EC_GUEST_WIFI is a non-secure connection, and Elizabethtown College does not guarantee the privacy of your data and communication while using EC_GUEST_WIFI.
Quick links to sections in this article:
1. On your device, navigate to the wireless settings.
2. Make sure Wi-Fi is turned on. Select EC_GUEST_WIFI.
3. Open your web browser (Chrome, Safari, etc.) and visit http://guest.etown.edu.
4. Follow the steps on screen to create a guest account. You will receive your username and password in a text or email.
iOS
Step 1:
Tap Settings on the iOS device home screen.
Step 2:
Tap Wi-Fi. Step 3:
Make sure Wi-Fi is ON. Select EC_GUEST_WIFI.
Step 4:
You will have wireless Internet access after it has connected.
Step 6:Click Agree.

Step 7:
Guests will see two link options: guests with an existing account, and guests requiring a new account. For guests requiring a new account, skip to Step 10.

Step 8:
Guests with an existing account should click the appropriate link. If you have already registered and received a password, click this link to connect with your other devices.
Note: An existing account means you have already received your account information or conference code from ITS.

Step 9:
Enter the username and password that were given to you, then click Continue. Follow through the Guest Registration steps to register your computer.
Step 10:
Guests requiring a new account should click the appropriate link.
Step 11:
Enter the information, then click Request Guest Access.
Step 12:
You will receive an email and text message containing the password for guest wireless access. This password is good for 72 hours, after which you may register again for a new password.
Note: The email occasionally ends up in Junk Mail, so be sure to check there if you do not receive it right away. Contact the Help Desk if you do not receive an email or text message.

Step 13:
Enter your username (email address) and password from the text/email in the browser window resulting from Step 8. Click Login. You will only have to do this once per the 24 hour guest access.

Because of the open nature of the Android system, some phones will have different screens or options, but most Android phones follow a similar format. If you have run into a problem, please contact the Help Desk.

Select EC_GUEST_WIFI.

Step 5:Open the web browser,you should be redirected to https://eccampusman.etown.edu/registration/index-registration.jsp. If your device has not been registered, complete the following registration steps that appear on screen.
Step 5:Click Agree.
