Force Quit App - Mac OS X
How to force quit a frozen application on a Mac.
Warning: Force quitting will result in the loss of unsaved changes. Only force quit when the app is unresponsive and will not quit in the usual manner.
Here are several ways to force quit an app:
[Command] + [Option] + [Esc], or click the Apple menu and choose Force Quit. Select the app in the Force Quit window and click Force Quit.
Hold [Command] + [Option] + [Shift] + [Esc] for three seconds to close the front-most app.
If Finder is unresponsive, you can use Force Quit to quit and relaunch it. Select Finder in the Force Quit menu, then click Relaunch.
