Copy Cells: Double Click Auto Fill Handle - Excel
You can double click on the fill handle to copy cells based on the location of the active cell. This article shows Excel 2016, but this process also works in Excel 2013 & 2010.

The fill handle is located in the bottom right corner of the active cell. The pointer will turn into a +.
Cell Below Active Cell is OccupiedIf there is something in the cell below the active cell,

the active cell will be copied down the column until it encounters a blank cell in the current column.

Cell Below Active Cell is BlankIf the cell below the active cell is empty,

the active cell will be copied down the column until it encounters the end of the data in the column to the right.

Cell to Left of Active Cell is BlankIf the cell to the left of the active cell is empty,

the active cell will be copied down the column until it encounters an empty cell in the column to the right.

Cell to Right of Active Cell is BlankIf the cell to the right of the active cell is empty,

the active cell will be copied down the column until it encounters an empty cell in the column to the left.
