Website Desktop Shortcut - Mac OS X
How to create a desktop shortcut to a website on a Mac. This lets you easily access a particular website right from your desktop.

Step 1:Open the website for which you want a desktop shortcut. Make sure you can see the desktop and the address bar in the browser.Step 2:Click the icon in front of the URL and drag it to your desktop. Release your mouse button.

Step 3:You can rename the shortcut, but be sure to keep the ".webloc" at the end.

Step 4:Double click the icon to open the website in your browser.
