Email Quarantine
Barracuda's email quarantine allows users to have more control over email.  These email notifications can help users determine if a message should be delivered to their inbox or not.
Keep in mind:
  • Users will not be able to reset their password within the quarantine system since it is linked with our single sign-on process.
  • Users will receive daily quarantine email notifications only when they have a message in quarantine unless they change their own notification preferences.
  • Users who want to look at messages in quarantine may do so directly at https://ess.barracudanetworks.com
  • If users see a message that was blocked that is believed to be a message that should have been delivered, contact the ITS Help Desk at x3333 or helpdesk@etown.edu.

Manage Quarantined Messages

Step 1:When Barracuda quarantines an email intended for you, you will get a message that looks like this. You can choose to Deliver the message or Whitelist the sender. You can also click View Message Log to see a preview of the message and manage other quarantined emails.
Step 2:After clicking View Message Log, a webpage will open. Enter your E-town email and click Next.
You may be prompted for your E-town password next. If so, enter it and continue.

Step 3:
You will see a page that looks like an email inbox. You can see all emails delivered and all emails blocked or quarantined from this page. Quarantined emails are marked by a small yellow square, but for easier viewing, it is recommended that you narrow down the filter to just quarantined emails, though. Click the arrow next to Message Filter and select Quarantined.

Step 4:Select the quarantined message that you would like to examine. A preview of the message will appear at the bottom of the page. There, you can also see the reason that the message was quarantined, and close to Whitelist the sender, Block the sender, or Deliver the message.
