Edit Files - OneDrive
Instructions on how to edit files in OneDrive.

This article shows Excel, but the process is the same with other Microsoft Office programs.
Working Offline
Step 1:Navigate to the preview of the file you wish to edit.
For instructions on how to navigate to a folder, visit the Navigate/Access Files article.
Step 2:Click on Edit Document (or Edit Presentation or Edit Workbook) in the top menu bar. Select Edit in (Program Name).

Step 3:A pop up will appear. Make sure the correct program is selected and click OK.

Step 4:If prompted, click Yes.

Step 5:When you've finished editing, click the Save button at the top of the window.
You can also save by clicking on the File tab, then Save.

Step 6:Close the program. Your edited file has now been updated in OneDrive and will reflect any changes you made the next time you click on the file.
Working Online
Step 1:Navigate to the preview of the file you wish to edit.
For instructions on how to navigate to a folder, visit the Navigate/Access Files article.
Step 2:Click on Edit Document (or Edit Presentation or Edit Workbook) in the top menu bar. Select Edit in Browser.

Step 3:Once you've finished editing, click on your name to return to your documents.
You do not need to save your file. It saves automatically as you work on it online and there is no save button.
Step 4:Your edited file has updated in OneDrive and the changes will be reflected the next time you click on the file.
